Decreet
Interloquitor and Committie anent victuall at Leith
The Lords of his Majesties privie Councill Having Considered the report of the Committie appointed to visite the victuall lying at Leith They doe heirby Recommend to the Committie formerly appointed viz The Earle of Ruglen Mr Frances Montgomery and Sir Thomas Burnet of Leyes The Lord provost of Edinburgh the Laird of Kelburn and Sir Patrick Murray To Call for the haill propriators merchants or armes to whom the victuall mentioned in the report does belong or the presents In whose hands It is Consigned for the ounders behoove And to allow them to Dispose of all the victuall Contained in the report uhich the report bears may be sufficient meall And to hear them anent the rest of the victuall which is Insufficient and uill not be Good meall or Malt what they uill doe uith the same And such of it as belongs to Strangers not Scotts men The saids Lords Impoures the Committie to allow the ouners or persons in whose hands it is Consigned to transport the same out of this Kingdome betuixt and a Certain day And putt the persons under sufficient Caution that they shall transport the same as said is and not vend or make use of any part therof uithin this Kingdom And ordaines the ouners propriators and merchants to whom the victuall belongs or in whose hands it is Consigned to attend the Committie And ordaines the Macers to warn them against the dyet upon which the Committie is appointed to meet And Recomends to the Committie to meet on Saturnday nixt at ten in the fornoon And declares any three of them to be a sufficient Quorum And in the mean tyme The saids Lords Continoues the Insufficient victuall in Leith in the same caice and under the same securitie which the Committie has putt the same under And discharges the selling or transporting any part therof uithout uarrand from the Councill or the said Committie.
