Interloquitor Serjeant Kerr
The Lords of his majesties privie Counsell haveing considered ane act made by ther Lordships of the date the twentie one day of Jullie Jaj vic and nyntie six yeirs allowing the baillies of the Cannogate and keeper of ther tollbwith to sett William Ker sometyme Serjeant in Captaine Lockhart his troupe of Dragownes at Libertie with the said Serjeant Kers consent upon the back of the said act to goe abroad wnder the Command of Leivtenent Waler Lockhart in Major generall Coillzers regiment to serve the King with this provisione that he gett his Libertie Conforme to the said act Since he is only detained for want of money to Satisfie the keeper of his house dwes The saids Lords of his majesties privie Cownsell Doe heirby ordaine James Hamiltowne keeper of the tollbwith of the Cannogate to sie and ansuer befor ther Lordships that he may be heard to object why the said serjeant Ker Should not be Sett at Libertie without payment of the Saids house dwes
