Letter Anent Colonell Douglasses regiment mutinying

A Letter from Frances Napier provost of Stirling To The Lord high Chancelor Acquainting his Lordship That Colonell Douglasses regiment of foot appointed to be disbanded att Stirling upon fryday the tenth Instant Fyred upon ther officers And refuses to Lay doun their armes untill payed of what is ouing for fourteen dayes subsistance And threaten to plunder the toune of Stirline The Lords of his Majesties privie Councell Recomended to the Lord Carmichaell Commander in cheiff for the tyme of his Majesties forces uithin this kingdome To prepare and have in readiness such of his Majesties forces both foot and dragoons as shall be Convenient to send to the toune of Stirling against the said day for suppressing the saids Mutineers In case they doe not delyver up their armes disband and dissipat themselvs against the said day.
