Recomendatione to The Lord Chancelor to uryte to Colonell Hill to send south Captain Mckenzie who suffered the Earle of Seaforth to escape

The Lords of his Majesties privie Councell Being Informed That Captain Mckenzie Governour of the garrison att Invernes being required by a Messenger at armes to Give him assistance in executing of Letters against the Earle of Seaforth Conform to the Letters and a warrand direct by the Commander in cheiff for that effect hes refused or delayed to Give him assistance so that the Earle hes escaped The said Lords of his Majesties privie Councell Doe heirby Recommend to the Lord high Chancelor of Scotland to wryte to Colonell Sir John Hill Governour of Fortwilliam That he send the said Captain Mckenzie prisoner under a sufficient Guard to the toune of Edinburgh as soon as possible he Can That he may attend the saids Lords of his Majesties privie Councell And make ansuer for his misdemaners,
