Recomendatione To the Earle of Argyll to wryte for Ormandale anent three French men

The Lords of his Majesties privie Councill Having Considered the report of a Committie anent three French men taken at Cambeltoun which came out of a French privateer given in by his Majesties advocat unsubscribed The saids Lords doe heirby Recommend to the Earle of Argyll Commander in cheiff of his Majesties forces uithin this Kingdome for the tyme To Cause bring into Edinburgh and present to the privie Counsell the persone of […] Campbell of Ormandale and tuo or three persons of best understanding in the Isle of Sand who best know the affair anent the Landing of the saids three French men in the uest of Scotland and how they were transported thither And what hes been their behaviour and deportment while in the uest And that against this day Eight dayes being the tuenty tuo day of July instant.
