Recommendation to The Lord Adovcat and to the Sollicitor to Consider Acts and proclamations against prophanity

The Lords of his Majesties privie Councill Doe heirby Recommend to Sir James Steuart his Majesties Advocat And appointes Sir Patrick Home his Majesties Sollicitor to Consider the Acts of parliament and acts and proclamations of privie Councill made against prophannes and the penalties insert therin and to make ane abbreviat of the Same And to produce it to the Committie appointed anent the poor And upon the Commissioners of the Assemblies address anent prophanity to the Councill And Recommends to the Committie to Consider the said abbreviat And to draw a proclamation theron And present the same to the Councill against their nixt meeting.
