Proclamatione Adjurning the parliament

The proclamation underwryten Being read was votted approven and signed wherof the tenor folloues
William By the Grace of God King of Great Britaine France and Ireland defendar of the faith To our Lyon King at armes and his brethreen Heraulds Macers of our privie Councell pursevants Messengers at armes our Shirreffs in that part Conjunctly and Severally speciallie Constitut Greeting Forasmuch as we by our proclamation of the date the tuenty nynth day of Jullie Last bypast Did adjurne this our present current parliament to the Fifteenth day of December then nixt to Come now Instant And wheras the present state of our affairs does not require the Meeting of our parliament so soon as the said day to which it was adjurned Therfore We with advice of the Lords of our privie Councell are resolved to Continow the said adjurnment from the said fifteenth day of December instant To the Eleventh day of March nixt to Come And that the Members of our said parliament be not putt to unnecessary trouble and Charge We doe heirby with advyce forsaid Continow the Adjurnment of our said Current parliament from the said fifteenth of december Instant to the said Eleventh day of March nixt to Come And we Doe heirby order and require all the Members of our Current parliament to attend the said Eleventh day of March nixt to Come att Edinburgh In the usuall uay and under the Certifications Contained in the severall acts of parliament made theranent Our Will is Herefore And ue Charge yow strictly and Command That Incontinent these our Letters seen ye pass to the mercat Cross of Edinburgh and to the mercat Crosses of the remanent head burghs of the severall Shires and steuartries of this our ancient Kingdome And ther by open proclamatione make Intimation that Our said parliament is adjurned to the said Eleventh day of March nixt to Come And ordaines these presents to be printed Given under our signet at Edinburgh the nynth day of December and of our reigne the Nynth year 1697 sic subscribitur.
