Warrant

Warrand to examine and Imprison The Lord Fraser

The Lord High Chancelor Having acquainted the Lords of his Majesties privie Councell That by their Lordships warrand he had Caused sease The Lord Fraser as Corresponding uith Fraser of Boufort and his son and accomplices who were Lately in armes against the Governments Commands And that the Lord Fraser is now attending the Councell The saids Lords doe heirby nominat and appoint The Earle of Annandale The viscount of Tarbat Lord Raith Lord Advocat and Lord Justice Clerk to be a Committie to examine the said Lord Fraser Anent his advyce assistance and Correspondence with the said Fraser of Boufort and his son and accomplices And particularly anent the Letters subscrybed by the said Boufort as Lord Lovatt and severall other of the name of Fraser to the said Lord Fraser and the bearer therof And upon such other pertinent Interrogators as their Lordship shall think fitt And appointes the Committie to meet this night at the Councells rising And declares any tuo of them to be a sufficient quorum And after the said Lord Fraser is examined appoyntes him to be Carryed prisoner to the Castle of Edinburgh Therin to remaine till farder orders of Councell.
