Warrand for disbanding the Garrisons of the bass and Dunnottar
The Lords of his Majesties privie Councell Doe heirby Recommend to the Lord Carmichaell Commander in cheiff for the tyme of his Majesties forces uithin this kingdome To send orders to Captain Livingstoune one of the Captains of Colonell Makgill his regiment and Commander of the Company of that regiment now lying in the Castle of Dunnottar to disband the said Company upon fryday Eight dayes being the seventeenth of december Instant And the saids Lords appointes Mr James Keith Shirreff depute of the shire of the Mearns uithin which Shire the said Castle of Dunnottar lyes To see the said Company disbanded upon the day forsaid And to take Care that the armes of the said Company and ammunition Lying in the said Castle be secured uithin the said Castle untill the same be sent south to his Majesties magazine in the Castle of Edinburgh And Recommends to the Earle of Marschall to allou a roum in the said castle to the said Shirreff deput for keeping the armes and ammunition till they come south And to delyver the key of the roume wherin the armes and ammunition Shall be putt to the Said Shirreff to remaine In his hands So Long as the armes and ammunitione remaines in the said roume And appointes the Shirref deput to grant recept to Captain Livingstoun of the armes and ammunition Conform to ane Inventar to be delyvered by the said Captaine to the Lords Commissioners of his Majesties Thesaury And Recommends to the said Lord Carmichaell to Give orders to Leivtennant John Hay Governour of the garrison which Lyes in the Isle of the Bass Being a detachment of Colonell Makgill and Colonell Douglasses regiments to disband the said Detachment upon Munday nixt being the thretteenth day of December instant And to Cause the said Leivtennant John Hay take speciall Care to secure the armes of the said Deatchment and to delyver the same to the officer of the detachment which shall Come to remaine in the Bass upon Inventar to be subscrybed by the said officer And by him Given up to the Lords Commissioners of his Majesties Thesaury And Recommends to the said Lord Carmichaell to Give orders to Colonell Row to Cause also many of the souldiers of the regiment under the said Colonell Row to march into the Bass upon Munday the said thretteenth day of December Instant And to remaine and keep garrison ther untill farder order.
