Letter from The Queen To The Councill for adjourning the parliament to the 1st of February

Letter from the Queens Majestie to the Councill for Adjourning the Parliament to the first day of February nixt to come Being read was ordered to be recorded and a proclamation in the termes therof Being prepared The samen was read signed and appointed to be published and printed which was accordingly done off the which Letter the tennor followes

Right Trusty and right well beloved Cousin and Councellor Right Trusty and enteirly beloved Cousin and Councellor Right Trusty and right well beloved Cousins and Councellors. Right Trusty and well beloved Councellors, And trusty and well beloved Councellors. Wee Greet yow well; Whereas the present state of our affairs does not require the meetting of our Parliament of that our Ancient Kingdome so soon as the sixteen day of December instant to which it was last adjourned We are therefore resolved to Continue the said Adjournment to the first day of February thereafter, And that the members of Parliament may not be put to the trouble and charges of meeting upon the said Sixteen day of December instant; It is our will and pleasure And we heirby require yow to Emit a proclamation in our name Adjourning our said Current Parliament from the said Sixteenth of December to the said First day of February next, And ordering all the members thereof to attend that day Att Edinburgh in the usuall way and under the accustomed certifications, For doeing whereof This shall be your warrand And so we bid yow heartily farewell Given Att our Court Att St James’s the fourth day of December 1704. And of our Reigne the thrid year. By Her Majesties Command Sic Subscribitur Roxburghe.
