Procedure

Report of the Committee anent Glengarie

Sir James Steuart Her Majesties Advocat haveing made ane verball Report To the Lords of Her Majesties privie Councill of the procedour of the Committee appointed anent Glengarie viz That they had called for him and examined him as to the ill practices and designes againest the Government and that the Committee had some probably suspicion of his accession to the ill practices againest the Government Committed him closs prisoner in the Tolbuith of Edinburgh And that they had againe Reexamined him and receaving noe further satisfaction ordained him to be carried from the Tolbuith to the Castle of Edinburgh therinto² remain till farther inquyrie and ordor of Councill And the said Lords of the Councill Haveing fully considered the samen And it goeing to the vott approve of the above Committee or not It was carried in the affirmative Approve And therefore The saids Lords Have approven and heirby approve thereof.
