Commission under the Great seall Infavours of Sir William Hamilton of Whytlaw To be Lord Justice Clerk Being presented by Sir Gilbert Eliot Clerk, The samen was Read and ordered to be recorded and delyvered by the Lord Chancellour to the said Sir Gilbert in name and in absence of the said Lord Justice Clerk, Who receaved the samen upon his knee as use is.
