Proclamation
Proclamation Adjourning the Parliament to the Sixth day of July
Proclamation adjourning the parliament, to the sixth of July nixt, Being read was ordered to be recorded published and printed. Whereof the tennor followes.
Ann By the Grace of God Queen of Great Brittain France and Ireland defender of the faith To our Lion King at arms, and his Brethren Heraulds, Macers of our Privie Councill, Pursevants, Messengers at arms, Our Sherriffs in that pairt Conjunctlie and severallie speciallie constitute Greetting Forasmuchas the present state of our affaires Requires a further time for the meetting of the Parliament of this our ancient Kingdome then the Twenty second day of this instant June to which time it was Adjourned. We are therefore resolved, To continue the Adjournment of our said Parliament from the said Twenty second of June to the sixth of July nixt to come Therefore and that the members of our said Parliament be not put to the trouble and charges of meetting upon the said Twenty second of June current, Wee with advice of the Lords of our Privie Councill Have adjourned and hereby adjourns our said Current Parliament, from the said Twenty second day of June instant, to the sixth day of July nixt to come. Requireing hereby all the members therof, to attend att Edinburgh the said day, in the usual way, and under the accustomed Certifications by Law appointed. Our Will is Herefore And we Charge yow Strictly and Command, That in continent thir our Letters seen ye pass, To the mercat Cross of Edinburgh, and to the mercat crosses of the haill remanent head burghs of the severall Shires and steuartries within this our ancient Kingdome And there in our name and authority by open proclamation make publict Intimation that our said Parliament is adjourned to the said sixth day of July nixt to come, And ordaine thir presents to be printed and published. Given under our signet Att Edinburgh the Fyfteen day of June 1704, And of our Rigne the Thrid year.
