Warrant
Warrand to the officers of the Scotts Regiments in Holland for beating Drumbs for Levying men
The Lords of Her Majesties privie Councill Doe heirby Grant licence and warrand to the officers of the severall Battalion’s of the Scotts Regiments now in the service of Her Majesties Allyes The States Generall and others Haveing warrant from the saids officers To beat drumbs within the severall Burghs of this Kingdome Where they shall have occasione to resort for Levying Recruiting and takeing on of men To serve Her Majestie in the saids Regiments now in Scotland And allowes the saids officers or these haveing their warrand To have the use of the prisons in any Burgh within this Kingdome for detaining and keeping the persons soe to be levyed and taken on untill they shall be transported for Holland And Ordains all Magistrats and others To give their Concurrance to the saids officers or these haveing their warrant To secure the persons soe to be levyed and willingly taken on upon their owen proper Chairges and Expensses And prohibits and Dischairges all Disorders or abuses to be Committed in Levying or securing as above But allwayes to keep themselves within the bounds the Law prescribes.
