Warrant

Warrand for a Detachment of 40 foot and 20 Dragouns to be sent to the Western Coasts to assist Mr Patrick Ogilvie

The Lords of Her Majesties Privie Councill, Haveing receaved information, That the forces formerly appointed for assisting Captain Patrick Ogilvie in hindering the importation of Irish victwall horse and other Cattle from Ireland, were withdrawen Doe hereby Recommend and give order and warrant, To Livetennent Generall George Ramsay Commander in Cheiff of Her Majesties forces within this Kingdome presently to give order and appoint a detachment of Fourty foot, and Twenty Dragoons duely Commanded, To march to the Westren Coasts, and there to be under the direction of Captain Patrick Ogilvie. Upon the saids Westren Coasts, for the better enableing and assisting him to hinder the import of all Irish or other Forraigne victwall, Horse and other Cattle into this Kingdome att any pairt within the bounds of the saids Westren Coasts Specidied and contained in the Commission granted to him By the Lords of Privie Councill. And appoints and Ordains the said Detatchment of Fourty foot and twenty Dragouns duely Commanded as said is, To continue and remain in the saids Westren Coasts under the direction of the said Mr Patrick Ogilvie as said is ay and whyll they be recalled by the Councill, And the Councills furder orders theranent. They being there for the publict service.
