Letter from the Queen to the Commissioner and Councill for removeing the Earle of Selkirk from the office of Clerk Register etc

Letter from the Queen to the Lord high Commissioner and Councill for removeing the Earle of Selkirk from the offices of Clerks of Registers and Rolls formerly Committed to him; As Likewayes from being a member of privy Councill or Exchequer Read and ordered to be Recorded wherof the tenor followes

Right trustie and right2 intirely beloved Cousin and Councillor Right trusty and3 right well beloved Cousins and Councellors; Right trusty and4 well beloved Cousins and Councellors; Right trusty and well beloved Cousins and Councillors; Right trusty and well beloved Councillors; And trusty and well beloved Councillors; Wee Greet yow weell Haveing Just Reason to be disatisfied with the Conduct of Charles Earle of Selkirk in matters relateing to our Service; Wee have therfore thought fitt to remove him from the offices of Clerk of our Registers and Rolls formerly Committed to him as Likewayes from being of our privy Councill or exchequer, And this our pleasure yow are to intimat to him. So we bid yow heartily farewell Given at our Court at St James’s the 25th day of June 1702 and of our Reigne the first year. By her Majesties Command Sic Subscribitur Robert Pringle.
