Letter from the King for Adjourning the parliament to the 14 Aprile nixt

Right Trustie and Right weell beloved Cousin and Councillor Right trustie and intirely beloved Cousins and Councillors Right trusty and right well beloved Cousins and Councillors Right trustie and weell beloved Cousins and Councillors. Right trustie and well beloved Councillors, And trusty and well beloved Councillors Wee greet yow well. Wheras the present posture of our affairs does not requyre the meetting of our parliament so soon as the eight day of January nixt to which it was Last adjourned; That the Members may not be put to unnecessary attendance, It is our will and pleasure And wee doe hereby Authorize and requyre yow to Issue furth a proclamation in our name adjourning our Current parliament from the said Eight day of January nixt to the Fourteinth day of Aprill nixt ensueing and ordering all the Members to attend that day at Edinburgh in the usuall way and upon the accustomed Certificationes; For doeing wherof this shall be your warrant, And so wee bid yow heartily Farewell; Given at our Court at Kensingtoun the 29th day of September 1701. And of our reign the 13th year, By his Majesties Command. Sic Subscribitur Hyndfoord.
