Procedure

Committie anent Alaster Mores 3d and 4th Tryalls and Sentence theron

The Lords of her Majesties privy Councill Doe hereby Nominat and appoint, The Lord Advocat Lord Thesaurer Depute; Lord Justice Clerk, Lord Aberurchill, Lord Crossrig Lord Rankeillor and Lord Phesdoe to be a Committie for Considering the thrid and fourth processes and Indytment against Allaster Mcdonald alias More before the Commissioners of the Justiciary for the Highlands for the Northerne district therof And their Sentance of death against him following therupon; And appoints all persones concerned to attend the said Committie; And in the mean time have instantly Stoped and discharged and hereby Stops and Discharges, The putting of the Said Sentance to executione against him But the Saids Lords Declares That Nevertheless They will receive the report of the Committie in the said matter against Thursday nixt if the Samen be ready Conforme to the vote and order of the Saids Lords theranent And Therfore the Saids Lords Recommends to the said Committie to meet this day at four a cloak this afternoon To the effect they may have their report upon the said process verdict and Sentance following theron ready against Thursday nixt, And Declares any thrie of them to be a sufficient quorum.
