Procedure

Recommendation to the Lord Advocat to wryt to the Shirriff[s] of the respective Shyres to Conveen the Commissioners of Supply and proportion their Cess

Sir James Stewart her Majesties advocat haveing accquainted the Councill That the Commissioners of Cess and Supplie for severall Shyres within this kingdome hade not mett and proportioned the Cess of the respective Shyres nor Chosen Collectors for uplifting therof and qualified themselves Conforme to Law; The Lords of her Majesties privy Councill Doe hereby Recommend to the Lord Advocat to wryt to the Shirriffs of the respective Shyres wherin the Commissioners of Supplie have not mett and proportioned the cess and Chosen Collectors nor qualified themselves To Conveen the haill Commissioners of Cess and Supplie within their respective Shyres upon such dayes as his Lordship shall think fitt at the head burgh of the severall shyres and their to proportion and Lay on the Cess for the terme of Candlmass nixt to come and for the subsequent termes mentioned in the sixth act of the last Session of the Last parliament and to Choise Collectors for uplifting therof and to take Sufficient Caution of them and to doe every other thing theranent appointed by the said act of parliament And the saids Lords doe hereby prorogate the dyet for the Saids Commissioners of Supply within the respective Shyres their qualifieing themselves to her Majestie by Swearing the Oath of alledgance and Subscrybing the Same with the assurance to Such dayes as his Lordship Shall think fitt to be Commissioners of Supply within the Saids respective Shyres.
