Proclamation
Proclamation for adjourning the parliament to the 9th June
Proclamation adjourning the parliament being Read the Samen was approven and Signed and appointed to be printed published and Recorded wherof the tenor followes.
Anne by the Grace of God Queen of Great Brittain France and Ireland defender of the faith, To our Lyon King at Armes and his bretheren heraulds; Macers of our privy Councill; pursevants, Messengers at armes our Shirriffs in that part Conjunctllie and Severally Specially Constitute Greetting Forasmuchas by our Letter direct to the Lords of our privy Councill of the Nynteinth of March last and our proclamation following theron upon the twenty fourth of the said moneth This our Current parliament was Adjourned till the twenty Sixth of this moneth of May Current upon which day wee were firmly Resolved that it Should have mett But the Multiplicity of Important affairs haveing hindered Us hitherto from dispatching our Commissioner and Servants It is necessary that our said parliament should be yet furder adjourned for a Short Space; Therfore Wee with the advice of the Lords of our privy Councill have Adjourned and hereby Adjourn our said Current parliament from the said Twenty sixth day of May instant to the Nynth day of June nixt to come Requyreing hereby all members therof to attend at Edinburgh the said day in the usuall way and upon the accustomed Certificationes by Law appointed Our Will is Herefore And wee Charge yow Strictly and Command That incontinent thir our Letters Seen yee pass to the Marcat cross of Edinburgh and to the marcat crosses of the remanent head burghs of the severall Shyres and Stewartries within this our ancient kingdome; And therat in our name and authority make publict intimation That our said parliament is adjourned to the said Nynth day of June nixt to come And Ordaines these presents to be printed and published.
