Warrand for Liberating Captain William Cleilland from his Areistment
The Lords of her Majesties privy Councill Haveing heard and Considered the paragraph of the Secretaries Letter, In Relation to the Two Regiments Imbarqued in the Road of Leith, And what the Lord high Chancelor did represent theranent from Captain William Cleilland Commander of the Friggotts; They hereby free Liberat and discharge the said Captain William Cleilland from his arreistment under which presently he Lyes and the former order of Councill past for that effect; And allowed him to be at Libertie therfrom and goe aboard of the Man of Warr Commanded by him when he Shall think fitt; And the Saids Lords Recommends to the Lord high Chancelor to Give Such a wryte and declaration under his hand to the said Captain William Cleilland As2 May be fitt and necessary for his exoneratione and Justifieing his Lying at Anchor in the Road of Leith untill returnes he had from her Majestie and the Admiralitie of England anent the Sailling with or Debarqueing of the saids two Regiments; And Likewayes Recommends to the Lord high Chancelor to appoint the said Captain William Cleilland to meett with Major General George Ramsay Commander in Cheif of her Majesties forces within this kingdome; And to adjust and Setle with him the time way and maner for Imbarqueing what men and officers belonging to the saids two Regiments under the Command of Collonells Row and Fergusone or recruits of any other Regiments already abroad which are not as yet Shipped and Imbarqued And that the Samen be Reported to the Councill accordingly.
