Letter from the Councill to The Queen

A Letter from the Councill to the Queen being Read was voted approven and Signed; And ordered to be Recorded; wherof the tenor followes.
May it Please your Majestie.
Wee Received the account of the removeal by death of our late great and gracious Soveraigne King William with all the tender Sorrow and afflicting greiff due to the Glorious and dear Memory of the best of Kings; But he being now Eternally blessed; And good our most Sure rock and Salvation, Wee have all Consolation in your Majesties most rightfull and undoubted Succession to the Imperiall Crown of this realme And that your Majestie hath been pleased to accept therof by takeing the Coronation Oath; and giveing us these other Orders which wee have received and execute with all duty.
While wee Shall remain in this trust wherin it hath pleased your Majestie to continue as wee Shall endeavour to acquit our Selves with all fidelity and dilligence In prosecution wherof wee have in the first place Sworne the Oath of alledgance and Subscrybed the Same with the assurance to your Majestie; And then with all the due and usuall Solemnities proclamed and published Your Majesties undoubted right and title to the Imperiall Crown of this realme with your most gracious proclamation for continueing all offices and Commissiones formerly granted by his late Majestie dureing your Majesties pleasure.
The Full assurance that your Majestie is pleased to give Us of your firme resolution dureing the whole course of your Reign to protect us and all your people, in our Religion Lawes and Liberties; and the Established Government of the Church; and to doe every thing that may conduce to our happines and prosperity is indeed a favor most becoming the Successor of our Late most gracious King and glorious delyverer, And which wee doe most hertily accept with a most Just returne of all the affection dutie and Zeall that wee can possibly express for your Majesties Service; And that God may Long preserve your Life and bless the Same with your most rightfull Government over us with all prosperity and happines Is and Shall be the most fervent and Constant prayers of. May it please your Majestie; Your Majesties Most Loyall, Most faithfull, and most obedient, Subjects and Servants Subscrybed ut Sederunt
