Lyble His majesties Advocate Against the Duke of Gordon and other papists cited and his Majesties Advocate and Sir Patrick Hume his majesties sollicitor Compearing personally as persuers, And The duke of Gordon and James Clerk of Wrightshouses and his Spouse, Robert Colison merchant in Aberdeen George Gordon of Litlemilne Servant To the Duke John Leith his Domestick Servant Issobel Hepburn Spouse To James Gordon and Patrick Drummond Servitor To George Drummond Goodman of the Tolbooth of Edinburgh Compearing personally with Sir David Thoirs, Mr David Dalrymple Mr […] Lesly of Kincraigie, And The rest of the Defenders being all Lawfuly cited oftimes called and not Compearing, The Lyble with a petition given in for the said Duke of Gordon and his Servants and Answers made for the duke and his Servants To the said lyble being Read, The Councill granted Certification against the hail Defenders Absent, And ordains the same to be Extracted Against them in commune forme, And The witnesses Some of them compearing and Some of them being Absent as marked in the Roll, And These who were present having Refused To make faith Viz: John Lamb Talzeour in the water of Leith, Silvester Lesly weaver in the Cannongate and William Murray Borrowman to Captain Carfrae, The Councill Sent them To the Tolbooth of Edinburgh Theirin to Remain prisoners till furder order of Councill.
