Act Anent the Duke of Gordon

Anent the Petition given in to the Lords of his Majesties privy Councill By George Duke of Gordon Shewing That this being the Eleventh year, That the petitioner hes been Kept from home, And That none But he hes been so used. Tho severalls be in his Circumstances as to the Government. And That particularly by frequent Imprisonments, These last five years (by their Lordships order) His health and Interest are Extreamly prejudged and Therfore humbly Craving their Lordships to allow ther Petitioner leave to goe home to look after his necessary affairs in his Countrey as others have, as the said petition Bears. The saids Lords of his majesties privy Councill having Considered the above Petition Given in to them by George Duke of Gordon, They heirby refuse the Desyre thereof, In respect of a Letter from his Majesty he is confined on this side of the River of Tay But Recommends to the Lord high Chancellour To write to the secretaries In favours of the said Duke anent his Condition and his other Circumstances That his majesties pleasure may be Knowen anent the said Duke, as to the terms of his petition.
