Warrand for signing a pass to the Earle of Nithsdale

The Lords of his Majesties privy Councill Doe heirby Recommend To the Earle of Melvill Lord President of his Majesties privy Councill To Grant and sign a pass In favours of Wiliam Earle of Nithsdale allowing the said Earle to Travell with Three servants and their horses in any place or places abroad, Forth of his Majesties Dominions For his Education or divertisement And allowes the Clerks of Councill To affix the signet of Councill To the said Pass sic subscribitur Melvill Southerland, Lauderdale, Annandale, Ruglen, Hugh Dalrymple, James Murray, William Anstruther, A: Hope.
