Act Anent the Shott Manufactory

Anent The Petition Given in To the Lords of his Majesties privy Councill By George viscount of Tarbat and Sir George Campbell of Cessnock Shewing That By the Laws and practices of this and all other nations Erecting of Manufactories having always Been Commended as advantageous to the publict Good and Interest of Kingdomes and Common-wealths and all Encouragement given to the undertakers therof. and ther petitioners Being Resolved To Enter into a Society for Shott casting wherby That not only the Exportation of money for forraign shott will be restrained But also The product of our own Kingdom Considerablie Improved. The saids Lords of his majesties privy Councill having Considered the above petition Given in to them Be the above viscount of Tarbat and Sir George Campbell of Cessnock They Doe heirby Erect the petitioners and their Society for shott casting Into ane manufactorie And Grants to the saids petitioners and these who are or shall be Concerned in the forsaid undertaking the Benefite of ane Manufactory And Declares That The petitioners and others forsaids Joyning with them In the said shott-casting now Declared a manufactory shall have all the Liberties Benefites priviledges and Immunities Belonging or pertaining to any other manufactories within this Kingdom and To Endure and Continue for the hail space of nynteen years yet to Come Commenceing from the day and date heirof.
