Protection To the Earle of Seaforth
Anent the Petition given in to the Lords of his majesties privy Councill by Kenneth Earle of Seaforth Shewing That where he having given Band and Caution To sist himself before their Lordships upon the first Councill day of July next, And he being under severall Diligences for Evil debts, may be Troubled in the way by some of his Creditors. And Therfore Humbly Craving their Lordships To grant him safe Conduct To Come from his own house to Edinburgh To attend their Lordships as the said petition Bears. The saids Lords of his Majesties privy Councill, having Considered this Petition given in to them by the Earle of Seaforth They heirby allow to the petitioner personall protection untill the fifth day of July next to Come Inclusive And discharges all macers Messengers at arms officers within Burgh or Landward To put any Letters of Captain acts of warding or other personal diligence to Execution against the petitioner untill the said Fifth day of July next Inclusive Excepting always his majesties rents and publick dues.
