Att Edinburgh The Fifteenth day of February Jaj vjc nynty Eight years

Warrant

Warrant for processing Serjeant Tarbat etc Before the Justice Court and Meinzes and McDonald Indemnified

The Lords of his Majesties privy Councill doe heirby appoint Sir James Stewart his majesties Advocate To prosecute and follow furth a Criminal persute before the Lords Commissioners of Justiciary against Serjeant Tarbat, Corporal Gilespie and John Cameron as guilty of Robbery, And The saids Lords doe heirby Indemnifie Alexander Meinzes and John McDonald of the Crimes of Robbery And declares them quite thereof and free therefrom being pursued therefore in any Tyme coming. And appoints The Lord Advocate To Lead and adduce them as witnesses against the Three other persons abovenamed And gives order and warrant to the Magistrats of Edinburgh and Keeper of their Tolbooth To sett the said Alexander Meinzies and John McDonald att Liberty furth thereof upon a warrant from the said Lord Advocat That he hes made use of them as Witnesses in the forsaid process and that he hes no more to doe with them.
