Letter from the King for adjourning The parliament
A Letter from his Majestie To the privy Councill for Adjourning The Parliament To the nynteenth day of July next att which tyme his Majestie is fully Resolved It shall meet Read and ordered to be Recorded a proclamation being Instantly prepared, was Read and signed. Follows the Tenor of the Letter

Right trusty and Right welbeloved Cousins and Councellors, Right Trusty and Entirely beloved Cousins and Councellors, Right Trusty and right welbeloved Cousins and Councellours, Right trusty and welbeloved Cousins and Councellors, Right Trusty and welbeloved Councellors, and trusty and welbeloved Councellors. Wee greet yow well. Whereas The present state of our affairs does not yett allow the meeting of our Parliament so soon as the Twelfth day of July next to which It was Lately adjourned: It is Therfore our will and pleasure and wee heirby authorize and require yow to Issue furthe another Proclamation In our name ordering the Continuance of the Adjournment of our said Parliament from the said Twelfth day of July to the nynteenth day of the said moneth, att which tyme we are fully Resolved our parliament shall meet. And Therfore ordering all the members thereof To attend That day att Edinburgh In the usual way and upon the accustomed Certifications For doing whereof this shall be your warrant. So wee bid yow heartily farewell. Given at our court at Kensington The 16 day of June 1698. And of our reign the 10th year By his Majesties command sic subscribitur James Ogilvie.
