Recommendation To the Lord Advocate To acquaint the vicount Teviot, anent some men putt into Castle Downey
The Lord Advocate Having acquainted The Lords of privy Councill That his Lordship hes a Letter from Brigadier Maitland Governour of Fort-Wiliam Telling That upon a Letter from The Marquess of Athole, he hes putt Threttie men of the said Garrison with a Captain (who hes Twenty more att his call in Inverness) Into the Castle Downie, The saids Lords doe heirby Recommend to the said Lord Advocate To acquaint The viscount of Tiviot Commander in Cheiff of his majesties forces within this Kingdom That he call for and speak with Patrick Murray of Dollarie anent the Frasers of Bewfort and others who were Lately in armes in the north and to doe with the men putt into the Castle Downie as his Lordship shall think fitt.
