Warrant for disbanding The Lord Carmichaels Regiment

A Letter from his majesty To the privy Councill That his Majestie hes ordered The Two Regiments of Dragoons under The viscount of Teviot and Lord Jedburgh To march To Scotland and be upon his majesties Establishment And That how soon any of them arrive In Scotland That The Councill give order for disbanding The Lord Carmichaells Dragoons and seing ther armes secured and subsistance paid Being this day read In presence of The saids Lords of his majesties privy Councill They heirby order the said Letter To be Recorded In ther Books And doe heirby Give order and warrand To the said Lord Carmichael Either to Call in these four Troups of his Lordships Dragoons which are on this Syde of Forth To the Links of Leith upon Wednesday next Being the Sixteenth day of February Instant And to disband them there And to Secure ther armes in his Majesties Magazine in the Castle of Edinburgh And appoints The Magistrats of Edinburgh To furnish Carts for transporting the armes upon advertisement from the said Lord Carmichaell or otherways (in the option of his Lordship) Doe heirby Recommend To the said Lord Carmichaell To Disband The saids four Troups att the places wher they Ly and to take care That ther armes be secured and Convoyed to his Majesties magazine in the Castle of Edinburgh And Recommends to the said Lord Carmichaell, To Bring the other Two Troops of his said Regiment which are upon the North syde of Forth To the Lynks of Leith upon wednesday Eight days Being the Twenty Third of february Instant And to disband them there the said day and to take care of ther armes and to cause secure the samen in the in the2 Castle of Edinburgh and appoints the magistrats of Edinburgh upon advertisement from the said Lord Carmichaell, To furnish Such Carts as he shall require for carrieing the saids arms from the Links of Leith To his Majesties magazine in the Castle of Edinburgh And Recommends to the Lords Commissioners of his Majesties Thesaury To cause make payment To the Dragoons of the said Lord Carmichaels Regiment of ther Subsistance to the tyme of disbanding as is ordered by his Majesties Letter forsaid.
