Warrant for Quartering some forces att Inverness and Stratherick

The Lords of his majesties most Honourable privy Councill having Considered a Letter written by Brigadier Maitland Governour of Fortwilliam To Sir James Stewart his Majesties Advocate, Bearing That the Brigadier is Informed That Captain Simon Fraser hes sett up the Fyrie Cross, and hes gott about Two hundered men together And that because of the many detachments, There are now only about Three hundered men in that Garrison. They heirby Recommend to the Lord viscount of Teviot Commander in cheif of his Majesties forces within this Kingdom To Cause send such a pairty of hes Majesties Dragoons, and foot, To quarter att Inverness and Stratherick, as he shall Judge sufficient for suppressing all disorders and Insurrections against the Government, and For seasing and apprehending The said Captain Simon Frazer and his accomplices and mantaining the peace of the Countrey.
