Warrant

Warrant for Liberating and giveing William Barley to Captain Kerr

The Lords of his Majesties privy Councill Doe hereby give order and warrand to the Magistrats of Edinburgh and keeper of their Tolbooth To Sett at Libertie furth therof William Barley present prisoner therin and to delyver him to Captain Robert Kerr in the Earle of Orkneyes regiment to be caried abroad by him to Holland or Flanders as a Souldier in his Majesties Service In Respect the said William Barley petitioner before extracting hereof Subscrybeing a Consent Wherby he consents of his oun accord to be caried abroad to the effect forsaid and has given in the Same to the Clerks of privy Councill.
