Anent the petitione given in to the Lords of his Majesties privy Councill be George Wilsone late Baillie and indwaller in Culross Shewing That wher by Contract of mariage past betwixt the petitioner and Marion Hendersone daughter to Mr William Hendersone now the petitioner spouse of the date the twentie sixt of January Jaj vjc nyntie four, The petitioner have therby oblidged to infeft and secure his said spouse in ane annualrents effeiring to the principall Soume of Eight Thousand merks to be uplifted furth of the lands and aikers therincontained, and particularly furth of alement of Land Dowcat years and pertinents pertaineing to the petitioner Lying in the burgh of Culross And Seing ther is no magistrats at present in the said burgh by whom the petitioners said spouse can be infeft in the forsaid annualrent and who can receive the resignatione, And Therfore Humbly Craveing the saids Lords would authorize the baillie of the regality of Culross in place of the magistrats to receive the resignation and Grant infeftment therupon In favors of his said spouse as the petition bears The Lords of his Majesties privy Councill having Considered this petition given in to them be the above George Wilsone They heirby Authorize […] present baillie of the regality of Culross in place of the magistrats of the said burgh In Respect ther are no magistrats therin for the time To receive the resignatione and infeftment abovementioned and Declares the resignatione and infeftment so made and given to be alse valid and effectuall to all intents and purposes as the same hade been done by any Magistrats of the said burgh of Culross.
