Recomendatione anent acomptts In favors of The Toune of Stirling

The Lords of his Majesties privy Councill haveing Considered the report of a Committie of their oun number appointed for reviseing the accomptts resting be his majesties forces to the Countrey Bearing That the Committie having Considered the accompts given in to them as resting be his majesties forces to the burgesses and inhabitants of the burgh of Stirling which is written bookwayes with the instructiones and verificationes therof They Find that ther are some articles in the saids accompts furnished to forces which were not upon scots pay and the ingivers not insisting for these articles hoc loco In Respect the same will not be allowed out of the pollmoney Therfore the Committie have past over and omitted these articles and make no other report anent the same and the Committie Finds2 the haill articles of the saids accompts suficiently verified and proven be the oaths and depositions of the persons furnishers taken before the Commissioners of supply within the shyre of Stirling Conforme to the Commissioners report subscryved by their hands and some of them both by oathes as said is and be recepts or subscribed acomptts under the hands of the officers and souldiers to whom the same were furnished, Which accompts with the Commissioners report recepts and subscryved accompts under the hands of the officers or souldiers were all produced to and Considered be the said Committie, And Finds that conforme to the said accompt Instructiones and verificationes therof Ther is resting be his majesties forces which were upon scots pay as they are stated upon regiments and troops in maner aftersettdoune to the burgesses and inhabitants forsaids of the said toune of Stirling the soumes following Viz Be the Viscount of Kenmore his regiment of foot the sum of Five hundreth and Fiftie nyne punds Thrie shilling scots Item by the Lord Blantyre his regiment of foot The sum of thrie hundreth and four punds sixtein shilling two penies scots Item by the Earle of Argyll his regiment of Foot the sum of Two hundreth and Fourscore Eightein punds Eight shilling scots Item by the Earle of Glencairne his regiment of foot the sum of Fiftie two punds Eightein shilling two penies scots Item by Coll Buchan his regiment of foot the sum of Fourty Eight punds seven shilling scots Item by the deceast Earle of Marr his regiment of foot the sum of Fourtie thrie punds Eleven shilling scots Item by Coll Richard Cunningham his regiment of foot sixtein punds Eight shilling scots Item by the Lord Ross his troop of horss the sum of Thrie hundreth and Fourscore thretein punds seventein the sum of six punds Fourtein shilling scots Item by the Laird of Grubitt his troop of horss the sum of Ane hundreth and Fourtein punds twelue shilling four penies scots Item by Captain Burnet his troop of horss the sum of Fourtie one punds fiftein shilling two penies scots Item be the Lord Beilhaven his troop of horss Eight punds Scots Extending the haill sums forsaid to the sum of Two Thousand two hundred and thriescore Eightein punds four shilling scots And Finds that the haill articles quherof this Last sum3 is4 made up were all furnished preceiding the first day of February Jaj vjc nyntie one years and that they are all in the termes of the nynth act Fourth session of this Curent parliament Intitulled act for pole money and proclamationes of Councill relative therto And Therfor Its the Committies opinion that the said sum of Two Thousand Two hundreth and thriescore Eightein punds four shilling scots Is to be payed out of the said polemoney and that the said burgesses and inhabitants of the burgh of Stirling are to be Recomended to the Lords Commisioners of his majesties thesaury for payment of the same accordingly And the Committie Finds that besides the soumes forsaids ther is resting by the particular officers afternamed to the saids burgesses and inhabitants of Stirling the sums following viz be the Lord Blantyre the sum of Twentie Eight punds scots Item by Captain Home in the Lord Blantyres regiment to William Duncan thretein punds thretein shilling scots More by him to Alexander Edmonstone twentie five punds two shilling scots Item be Captain Baillie in the said Regiment to the said Alexander Twentie give punds thretein shilling scots more be the said Captain to John Burd Twentie Eight punds one shilling scots Item be Captain Kames and John Campbell in the Earle of Argyll regiment the sum of Fourty six punds seventein shilling money forsaid and the Comittie are of opinion That thir sums are not to be payed out of the polemoney but the same are to be detained by the Lords Commissioners of his majesties thesauary out of the pay resting by them to the Creditors aforsaid accordingly as the said report bears The saids Lords of his Majesties privy Councill Doe heirby approve of the said report And Recomends to the Commissioners of parliament appointed anent the polemoney To Cause pay to the saids burgesses and Inhabitants the soume of Two Thousand Two hundreth Thriescore Eightein punds four shilling scots In the said report as resting by his majesties forces upon scots pay to them and that out of the said polemoney And Recomends to the saids Commissioners to detaine the other sume in the report resting by the officers therinamed out of the saids officers ther pay (if any shall be found due) and to pay the same to the Creditors therof accordingly.
