Lauderdales freinds allowed to wryte to him

The Councill allowes any of the freinds of […] Earle of Lauderdale presentlie in France to wryte to the said Earle acquainting him that there is a proces of treason intented at the Kings Advocats instance against him which is to be insisted in before the next sessione of this Currant Parliament and that therfore He may come to Scotland and attend and defend in the said proces and that his Lordship being denounced at the Lord Advocats instance he is relaxed from the horne that he may have personam standi and appoynts any Letter which shall be wryten to the said Earle in the matter foresaid to be presented and approven of by his majesties Advocat before the same be sent to France
