Recomendatione to Duke of Queensberry to quarter the troops of Horse and Dragoons

His Grace James Duke of Queensberrie Commander in Cheiff of his Majesties forces for the tyme within this Kingdome Haveing acquainted the Lords of his Majesties privy Councill That the Commissary formerly appoynted to provyde his majesties Troops hath made noe provisione this summer for them and that as yet there is noe other persone contracted with for executeing the said office of Commissarie as to provyde for the Horses of the army and that for their better provisione dureing this present summer they are quartered in small parties at great distances The said Lords doe Hereby recomend to the said Duke of Queensberry to quarter the troops of his majesties horse and dragoons as most conveniently may be done for his Majesties service and ther ordorly provisione untill a Commissary be appoynted With power to his grace to remove them from tyme to tyme as He shall find necessary and Convenient and Recommends to his grace to give the necessary ordors to the officers and Hereby Requyre them to make payment to the Countrey of the quarters of the said troops wherever they shall happen to be quartered dureing the space foresaid
