Anent the petition given in to the His Majesties high Commissioner and3 the Lords of privy Councill be George Ridpeth, Robert Ross and Androw Bell Shewing That the petitioners having been at Considerable trouble and expence in procureing Translateing and printing Sir Thomas Craigs Manuscript de Hominio Which is so much for the honor of the4 natione and fearing that it may be reprinted in Scotland by which the petitioners would be very great Lossers And Therfore humbly Supplicating the saids Lords to the effect aftermentioned, His Majesties high Comissione and Lords of privy Councill Having Considered this petition given in to them the above George Reidpeth Robert Ross and Androw Bell, They heirby ordaine that non doe presume to reprint the above book de hominio within this kingdom for seven years after the date heirof without the License of the petitioners ther airs or assigneyes.
