Act and ordinance anent Lord Drummond and Servants
The which day a pass by the Kings majestie to the Lord Drummond and John Grillett his valet d’Chambre and Daniel McDonald, a footman bearing date at the Hague the tuentie nynth day of October Jaj vjc nynty and four years for travelling to Scotland where they are not to be questioned for anything thats bypast They liveing peaceablie as good subjects for which he is to find bale to the Councill to present himself when called and lykewayes giving his word of Honour that his said servants are not in orders nor bear any other Characters And the said Lord Drummond being called in did Give his word of honour in face of Councill That the said two servants are not in orders nor bear any other Characters was read The Lords of his majesties privy Councill doe hereby ordaine the said Lord Drummond to give bond and find sufficient Cautione acted in the books of privy Councill That he shall live peaceablie under and with all submissione to the present Government of his majestie King William and that he shall not act consult or contryve anything in prejudice hereof nor shall not consult or converse with any Rebells and that He shall appear before the saids Lords of privy Councill when called for under the penaltie of ane thousand pound sterline in case He shall transgress in any part of the premisses and ordaines each of the said two servants to find the lyke Cautione under the penaltie of one Hundred pound sterline apeice
The tearms of the Cautione for the servants is altered per warrand 28th Februarie instant.
