Act Mr Jon Wilsone

Anent the petitione given in to the Lords of his majesties privy Councill by Master John Wilsone late minister at Kirkwall Shewing that where upon some litle disordor that fell out at Kirkwall To which I had noe accessione and for some words alleadged to have been spoken by me which the petitioner was sure was free of ill designe He was by the said Lords sentance not only depryved of his ministrie at Kirkwall but banished to Zetland dureing the said Lords pleasure in September Last his conditione of his familey with the hardship of winter then comeing on it pleased the said Lords to dispence with his goeing thether till march next and seeing that the distress of his familey by the sickness of his wyfe and his other straits is truely since grown exceedingly and its well knowen in the place with what quietness and submissione he hes he haved since the said Lords their sentance And lastly that the petitioner cannot expect passage to Zetland untill May at soonest and then very uncertaine and hazardous because of Privateers and that in truceth when he is there he knows not possibly how to live And therfore humbly Craveing the said Lords in Compassione to him and his poor familey to have reguard to his depryved indigent Conditione and to remitt the foresaid sentance of transporting him to Zetland and since He neither can bear it nor can he think but his circumstances will procure the said Lords their Consideratione as the said petitione bears
The Lords of his majesties privy Councill haveing considered the foresaid petitione given in to them by the said Master John Wilsone They Hereby take of the petitioners Banishment and declairs him free of the same and confyns him to the Islands of Orknay and ordaines Him to find sufficient Cautione before the Stueart of Orknay and Zetland or his deputs That He shall remaine Confyned within the said islands and not goe without the bounds of the same and that He shall live peaceably under and with all submissione to the present Goverment of his majestie King William and that He shall not act consult nor contryve anything in prejudice thereof nor converse with any Rebells under the penalty of ane thousand merks scots money in Case he shall transgress in any part of the premisses
