Act Anent the shyre of Clackmanans accompts

The Lords of his majesties privy Councill haveing Considered the report of a Committie of ther oun number appointed for revising the accompts resting by his Majesties forces to the Countrey Bearing That the Committie haveing Considered the accompts given in to them as resting be his majesties forces upon Scots pay to the tennents and Inhabitants within the shyre of Clackmanan and severall tounes and parochins therin mentioned in the saids accompts. They Find that ther were severall articles in the saids accompts which were not in the termes of the acts and proclamationes of his majesties privy Councill And Therfore They have refused and rejected all these articles, and Finds that ther are some of the articles of the said accompt stated above the rates allowed be the privy Councill, And Therfore they have Restricted these articles to and stated them at the Councills dates, And the Comittie Finds the haill articles of the saids accompts restricted as said is, sufficiently verified and proven partly be recepts or subscryved accompts under the hands of the officers or souldiers to whom the soume were furnished, And all of them be the oathes and depositiones of the saids tenants and inhabitants and some of them both by recepts or subscryved accompts and the oathes of the saids inhabitants Conforme to reports under the hands of the Commissioners of Supply within the said shyre Bearing the haill persones in ther accompts to have given ther oathes before them that the accompts were truely furnished and are yet resting and no part of them payed. Which recepts subscryved accompts and reports of the Commissioners were all produced to and Considered by the Committie, And Finds that Conforme to the saids accompts and instructiones therof Ther are yet resting be his majesties forces upon scots pay according as they are stated one regiments and troops in maner after sett doune to the tennents and inhabitants of the said shyre the soumes of following viz by the Viscount of Kenmure his regiment of Foot The Soume of ane hundreth nyntie seven punds four shilling scots money Item by the Lord Blantyre his regiment of foot, The soume. of ane Thousand four hundreth and seventie six punds nyne shilling six penies scots money Item by the Lord Beilhaven his troope of horss, The soume of Two hundreth sixtie five punds six shilling ten penies scots Item by the Master of Polwarth his troop of horss The soume of ane hundreth seventie nyne punds Eleven shilling two penies scots Item by the Earle of Eglingtone his troop of horss the soume of thrie score nyne punds fiftein shilling Eight penies scots Item by the Laird of Pollock his troop of horss The soume of Eight hundreth punds one shilling scots Item by the saids Earles of Eglingtoune and Laird of Pollock theer saids troops, The soume of Eightein pund ten shilling scots Extending altogither the said soumes due by his majesties forces upon scots pay To the tenants and inhabitants within the said shire of Clackmanan To the soume of Thrie Thousand and six punds Eightein shilling two penies scots money And the Committie Finds that the haill articles quherof this totall Soume is made up were all furnished preceiding the first day of February Jaj vjc nyntie one years. And that they are all in the termes of the nynth act fourth sessione of this Current parliament Entituled act for pole money and of the proclamatione of Councill of the date the last day of Jully Jaj vjc nyntie four years And Therfore it is the Committies opinion that the said totall soume of Thrie thousand and six punds Eightein shilling two penies scots is to be payed to the saids tennents and inhabitants within the shyre of Clackmanan out of the present polemoney and that the saids tennents and inhabitants are to be Recomended to the Lords Commissioners of his Majesties thesaury for payment of the same accordingly as the said report bears The saids Lords of his Majesties privy Councill Doe heirby approve of the above report And Recomends to the Lords Commissioners of his majesties thesaury To Cause payment be made out of the present polemoney To the tennents and inhabitants within the shyre of Clackmanan of the above soume of Thrie Thousand and six punds Eightein shilling two penies scots.
