Recomendatione anent accomptts In favors of The Inhabitants of Bruntisland

The Lords of his Majesties privy Councill haveing Considered the report of a Committie of their oun number appoynted for reviseing the accompts resting be his majesties forces to the Countrey Bearing that the Committie having Considered the accompts given in to them as resting be his majesties forces to the inhabitants within the burgh of Bruntisland with the instructiones and verificationes therof They Find that ther are severall articles of the saids accomptts Which are not in the termes of the act of parliament anent the polemoney and the proclamationes of Councill relative therto, And Therfore they have refused and rejected all these articles, And Finds that ther are severall articles of these accompts stated as resting be the forces not upon scots pay Which at desire of the party they have not Considered at this time, And Finds that besides the articles refused and rejected and the articles not at present Considered. Ther is still resting be his Majesties forces upon scots pay to the saids inhabitants the soumes aftermentioned Which they Find suficiently verified and proven the farr greater part therof be recepts or subscryved accompts under the hands of the souldiers or officers to whom the same was furnished and the rest be the oathes and Depositions of the saids inhabitants taken before two of the 2 Corners3 of Bruntisland Viz by the deceast Earle of Marr his regiment of foot the soume of Two hundred Fourscore Nyntein punds fiftein shilling four pennies scots And by the Lord Blantyre his regiment of foot the soume of Thrie punds seven shilling scots Item by the Earle of Annandale his troop of horss Two punds thrie shilling scots Item by the Lord Beilhaven his troop of horss the soume of Two punds four shilling scots Item by the deceast Lord Cardross his regiment of Dragoons one pund Eightein shilling scots Item by the Lord Rollo his troop of horss two punds sixtein shilling scots Extending altogither to the soume of Thrie hundreth and Eleven punds thretein shilling four pennies scots And Finds that the articles quherof this last soume is made up were all furnished preceiding the first day of February Jaj vjc nyntie one years and that they are all in the termes of the nynth act fourth session of this Current parliament Intitulled act for polemoney and proclamation of Councill relative therto, And Therfore Its the Committies oppinion That this Soume of thrie hundreth and Eleven punds threttein shilling four pennies Is to be payed to the inhabitants of Bruntisland out of the present polemoney and that the saids inhabitants are to be recomended to the Lords Commissioners of his majesties thesaury for payment of the same accordingly as the said report bears The saids Lords of his majesties privy Councill Doe heirby approve therof and Recommends to the Commissioners of parliament appointed anent the polmoney To Cause pay to the saids inhabitants the soume of thrie hundreth and eleven punds thretein shilling four pennies scots in the said report as resting be his majesties forces upon scots pay to them and that out of the said polemoney.
