Recomendation anent accomptts In favors of the Toune of Alloway
The Lords of his majesties privy Councill having Considered the report of The Committie of ther oun number appointed for revising the accompts resting be his majesties forces to the Countrey Bearing that the Committie Having Considered the accompt given in to them as resting be the Laird of Pollock his troop which was upon scots pay to the inhabitants of the toune of Alloway with the instructiones and verificationes therof They Find that ther are some of the articles of the said accompt which are not in the termes of the said act of parliament anent polemoney and proclamation of Councill relative therto, And Therfore they have Refused and rejected these articles, And Finds the haill articles of the said accompt suficiently verified and proven be the oathes and depositions of the Inhabitants of the said toune of Alloway taken before two of the Commissioners of Supply within the shyre of Clackmanan within quhich shyre the toune of Alloway Lyes Conforme to the report of the Commissioners signed be them Which accompt and report was produced to and Considered by the said Committie And Finds that Conform to the said accomptt and instructions Ther is resting be the said Laird of Pollock his troop which Ther is resting be the said Laird of Pollock his troop which was upon scots pay to the inhabitants within the toun of Alloway (Besides the articles rejected and refused and of the soume of Two hundred and nyne punds sixtein shillings four penies scots money And Finds that the haill articles therof this soume Is made up are all in the termes of the nynth act fourth session of this Current parliament Intitulled act for polemoney and proclamationes of Councill relative therto Except that the Commissioners report does not bear the articles to have been furnished before the first of February Jaj vjc nyntie one But bears that the accomptts was taken up by the Commissioners upon the sixtein day of the said moneth and year so that the same most necessarly have been furnished before that time and probably before the first day of that moneth And Therfore It is the Committies opinion of the Councill think fitt that the said soume of Two hundreth and nyne punds sixtein shilling four penies scots Is to be payed out of the polemoney And that the inhabitants forsaids are to be recomended to the Commissioners of parliament appointed anent the polemoney for payment of the same accordingly as the said report bears The saids Lords Doe hereby approve of the said report And Recomends to the Commissioners of parliament appointed anent the polemoney To Cause pay to Cause pay2 to the saids inhabitants of Alloway the above soume of Two hundreth and nyne punds sixtein shilling four penies scots mentioned in the said report as resting by the Laird of Pollock his troop of horss which was upon scots pay and that out of the said polemoney.
