Recomendatione anent accompts In favors of The Laird of Grants tennents in Old Milnes of Elgine
The Lords of his majesties privy Councill having Considered the report of a Committie of their oun number appointed for reviseing the accompts resting be his majesties forces to the Countrey Bearing That the Committie having Considered the accompt given in to them as resting be his majesties forces upon scots pay to the Laird of Grant his tennents of Old Milnes of Elgine with the instructions verifications therof They Find the haill articles of the said accompt suficiently verified and proven be the oathes and depositiones of the saids tenents taken before two of the Commissioners of supply within the shyre of Elgine and Forces Conforme to the report of the Commissioners subscribed be them upon the end of the said accompts and some of the saids articles both be depositiones and recepts under the hands of the souldiers to whom the same was furnished, Which accomptts both be depositiones and recepts under the hands of the souldiers to whom the same was furnished, Which acomptt Depositiones report and recepts were all produced to and Considered be the Committie And Finds that Conforme to the said accompt and instructions Ther is resting be the said Laird of Pollock his troop which was upon scots pay to the inhabitants within the toun of Alloway (Besides the articles rejected and refused as said is the soume of Two hundred and nyne punds sixtein shillings William Hop troop of horss fourtie two punds scots Be the Lord Rollo his troop of horss six punds Eight shilling scots Be the deceast Lord Cardross his regiment of Dragoons Twelue punds scots be the Laird of Edinglassie his troop of horss sixtein punds scots Extending the haill soumes forsaids to the soume of ane hundreth thriescore Eightein punds two shillings scots and Finds that the haill articles quherof this last soumes is made up were all furnished preceiding the first of February Jaj vjc nyntie one years and that they are all in the termes of the nynth act Fourth session of this Current parliament Intitulled act for pole money and proclamationes of Councill relative therto And Therfore It is ther opinion that the said soume of ane hundreth thrie score Eightein punds two shilling scots Is to be payed to the saids tenents of the Old Milnes of Elgine out of the said polemoney and that they are to be recomended to the Commissioners of parliament appoynted anent the polemoney for payment of the same accordingly as the said report bears The saids Lords doe heirby approve therof And Recomends to the Commissioners of parliament 2 anent the pole money To Cause pay to the said Laird of Grant his tenants the above soume of ane hundreth thriescore Eightein punds 3 Two shilling scots as resting be his majesties forces upon scots pay and that out of the said polemoney
