Commission For Trying the Losses of Finlarig
The Lords of his majesties privy Councill Haveing Granted a Commission to Duncan Toshoch of Monievaird baillie of the Bailliarie of Deshore and Tayar with Concurrence of Duncan Campbell of Auchlyne Alexander Campbell of Ardenock Duncan Campbell of Ettrimuckie and Robert Stirling of Stuix or any two of them heretors of the nighbourhead for taking tryall of the Losses Sustained By the Earle of Brodalbine in his house of Findlarig with the Chapell buriall place yeards and parks and waists therof And ther being a report returned of the said Comission Wherby It does not Clearly appear what case the said house and yeards, The Chapell buriall place and parks and waists therof were in at the time the Garisone ruine to the same Therfore the saids Lords Doe heirby off new Grant Commission to the said Duncan Toshoch of Monivaird with Concurrance of the form and persones of the nighbourhead or any two of them to take probatione what was the case of the said house of Finlarig, buriall place, Chapell, yeards parks and wasts therof at the time the Garisone entered therto and the case the samen was in when left by the Garisone And what prejudice the Garisone hade done to the said house Chappell Buriall place yeards and parks and waists therof dureing ther remaineing therat and for that effect to take all maner of probatione necesar aither by witnesses or by the oathes of the skilled tradsman as measones wrights etc and to Issue furth precepts and appoints the probatione which shall be adduced to be transmited to the privy Councill.
