Recomendatione anent accompts Mr William Smith
The Lords of his Majesties privy Councill having Considered the report of a Comittie of their oun number appointed for reviseing the accompts resting be his Majesties forces to the Countrey Bearing That the Comittie haveing Considered a recept given in to them granted by Mr Archibald Forbes Livt to the Master of Forbes to Mr William Smith his Landlord in Old Meldrum for the soume of sixtie punds Sterling money of England resting be him to his said Landlord for his oun and his servants intertainment and other necessars of bed and board for the space of Eight moneths they were quartered ther, Which he obleidges him to pay out of the first and readiest of his pay dated the twentie Eight day of June Jaj vjc nyntie years The Committie Finds that the said soume was furnished preceiding the first day of February Jaj vjc nyntie one years, and that the same is in the termes of the nynth act fourth sessione of this Current parliament and also in the termes of the proclamationes of Councill relative therto anent the polemoney, And Therfore It is the Committies oppinion that the said soume of sixtie punds sterling is to be payed to the said Mr William Smith to whom the same is due and that out of the present polemoney and that the said Mr William is to be Recomended to the Lords Commissioners of his majesties thesaurie for payment of the same accordingly Extending in scots money to Seven Hundred and Twentie punds as the said report bears The saids Lords Doe heirby approve of the said report and Recommends to the Commissioners of parliament appointed anent the polemoney To Cause pay to the said Mr William Smith the above soume of sixtie punds sterling money as resting be his majesties forces upon scots pay to him and that out of the said polemoney.
