Committie Dureing the vaccance

The Lords of his majesties privy Councill Doe heirby nominat and appoint The Earles of Southerland, Mortone, Lothian, Leven, Forfar and Broadalbine and the Viscount of Tarbat The Lord Strathnaver The Lord advocat and the Lord Fountonhall and the Laird of Grant to be a Committee for meeting dureing the present vaccancie anent the securitie of the peace of the Countrey and to Consider such Complaints as shall be made anent the disturbance or breach of the same with power to them to determine therin, and in case of defficulty to report to the Councill And Declairs any fyve of the above Committie to be a sufficient quorum And Remitts to them to Consider the petitione given in be John Eliot of Thochope and other drovers anent the highwayes and to report ther opinion theranent to the Councill.
