Act Anent the accompts resting to the inhabitants of Kirkpatrick

The Lords of his majesties privy Councill Having Considered a report of a Committie of ther oun number appointed for reviseing the accompts resting be his majesties forces to the Countrey Bearing that the Committie haveing Considered the two accompts given in to them as Resting by the gentlmen of the Lord Ross trop of horss which were upon Scots pay to the Inhabitants of the Toune of Kirkpatrick The one therof to James Laing and Agnes Burnside inhabitants of the said burgh and the other therof to severall other persones inhabitants of the same with the instructiones and verificationes of the saids accompts They find the haill articles of both these accompts suficiently verified and proven be the oathes and depositiones of the persones furnishers therof and some of the saids articles both by oathes of the furnishers therof and also be recepts of the Gentlmen and troopers to whom the same was furnished And Finds that Conforme to the saids recepts and oathes and depositions of the saids inhabitants taken before two of the Commissioners of supply for and the shyre of Dumbartone both produced to and Considered be the said Comittie, Ther is resting by the Gentlmen of the said Troop the soumes following viz to the said James Laing the soume of seventy seven punds five shilling six penies scots money, and to the said Agnes Burnsyde the soume of fourscore two punds five shilling money forsaid and to the other inhabitants of the said Toune mentioned in the said other accompt The Soume of Four hundreth and six punds nyntein shilling scots And the Committie Finds that the haill articles of both the saids accompts were all furnished before the first day of February Jaj vjc nyntie one years And that they are all in the termes of the nynth act fourth session of this Current parliament intituled act for Polemoney and of the proclamatione of Councill of the date the threetie first day of Jully Jaj vjc nyntie four years relative therto And Therfore the Committie are of oppinion That the said soume of seventie seven punds five shilling six penies scots is to be payed to the said James Laing and the said soume of Eighty two punds five shilling scots to the said Agnes Barnsyde and the said soume of Four hundreth and six punds nyntein shilling scots to the other inhabitants of the said toune of Kilpatrick out of the said Polemoney Extending the soumes forsaids resting to the haill inhabitants of the said toune of Kirkpatrick to the soume Five hundreth sixtie six punds nyne shilling six penies scots and that the saids inhabitants are to be recomended to the Lords Commissioners of his majesties thesaury for payment of the same accordingly as the said report in itself more fully proports They heirby approve therof and Recomends to the Lords Commissioners of his Majesties thesaury To Cause payment be made out of the present polemoney to the said James Laing of the said soume of seventie seven punds five shilling six pennies scots, and to the said Agnes Burnsyde of the said Soume of Eighty two pund five shilling scots And to the other inhabitants of the said toune of Kirkpatrick of the soume of Four hundreth six punds nyntein shilling scots Extending the Soumes forsaid to the soume of Fyve hundreth sixtie six pund nyne Shilling six penies scots.
