Warrant

Warrand for takeing in Mr Collin Nicolsones oath of alleadgeance and assurance

The Lords of his majesties privy Councill being informed That Master Colline Nicolsone Preacher of the Gospell at Strathaven hes taken the oath of alleadgeance and assurance but not within the tyme prefixed by the Late act of parliament anent the Church They Find by a declaratione under the Hands of the said Master Collin and the Laird of Grant That the said Master Colline was willing to have taken the same within the tyme prescribed by the said act If the shirriff of Bamff within which shyre he liv’s had been upon the place to administrat the same to him and that He did lykewayes offer to qualifie himself to the Laird of Grant within the prefixed tyme And therfore they Hereby appoynt the Clarks of Councill to receive in the said oath and assureance and declairs the same to be als effectuall for the said Master Collin to all intents and purposes as the same had been within the tyme prefixed by the said Act of Parliament and that by vertue of his applicatione foresaid he was not in mora.
