Letter for adjourneing the parliament
The following Letter from his Majestie Being read was ordered to be recorded whereof the tenor followeth sic suprascribitur William Rex Right trusty and right well beloved Cousin and Councillor Right trusty and right well beloved Cousin and Councillor Right trusty and intirely beloved Cousin and Councellor Right trusty and right wel beloved Cousin and councillor Right trusty and welbeloved Councillors and trusty and welbeloved Councillors we greet you well Whereas by our former letters we did authorise you to adjourne our parliament to the tuentie first of this instant, and now all things not being yet in readiness for it’s meeting at that dyet It is our pleasure and we doe authorize and requyre you to emitt a proclamatione in our name for a further adjourment from the said tuentie first instant to the eighteen day of Apryll therafter Jaj vjc nynty and fyve years at which tyme we are resolved our parliament shall meet: Requyreing the members to give punctual attendance at that day in the usuall place and under and upon the accustomed Certifications for doeing whereof this shall be your warrand and so we bid you heartilie farewell Given at our Court at Kensingtoune the fyfteen day of March 1694/5 and of our Reigne the sexth year By his Majesties Command sic subscribitur John Dalrymple
